[News Release] 18 Aug 11 – Nea’s Eco Music Challenge 2011 unearths the talents of 13 finalists

Garnering over 300 song entries from more than 900 youth participants, the Eco Music Challenge proves to be a huge hit for aspiring musicians

The National Environment Agency’s (NEA) Eco Music Challenge 2011 has struck a chord with the youths. The agency has received more than 300 quality song entries from more than 900 youths in the second season of its eco song-writing competition. Amongst them, 13 songs stood out and have emerged as the finalists who will vie for the title of Clean & Green Singapore 2012 theme song at the Eco Music Challenge Finale Concert at Orchard Central on 27 August 2011. With songs of different music genres ranging from rock, pop, folk, acoustic and jazz, the 13 talented individuals come from an array of backgrounds ranging from students and music teachers to cabin crew members and doctors, and even one of Cleo Magazine’s 50 most eligible bachelors!
